Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The course serves as intensive preparation for the written StEOP examination in the IREWI programme, public international law-part. The first class (05/05) gives an introduction to the course, the materials, teaching methods, and necessary preparation. The second class (04/06) contains an overview of the subject matters and exam techniques. The third class (11/06) will be a 60 minutes written exam, based on previous StEOP exam questions. The fourth class (18/06) will be dedicated to analysing and evaluating the results.
This course supports the lecture "VO Foundations of International Law" (No. 030477).
It is not eligible for Erasmus exchange students.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Active participation in class and a 60 minutes written exam. No resources may be used during the written exam (closed book).

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Written exam: 30 points are achievable. 12 points are necessary for a positive grade. 12-15 sufficient, 16-20 satisfactory, 21-25 good, 26-30 very good. Participation in class counts up to 12 points.

Prüfungsstoff

The subjects matters contained in the script by “Public International Law. Introduction to the International Foundations of the Law” by Kriebaum/Marboe/Reinisch/Waibel/Wittich (Facultas, 6th edition, 2023), which are also tought in the lecture "VO Foundations of International Law" (No. 030477).
