Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The purpose of the course is to provide the students with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of EU Law by way of case studies. Following a preparatory meeting on 10 March 2023, the course is divided into six blocks of three hours each, with an interval of 15 minutes. In each block, four cases shall be discussed. The selected cases will primarily be judgements of the CJEU or the GC, in some instances also from national courts of the EU Member States. The topic of the cases will be questions of institutional, substantial and procedural EU Law. Each case will be presented by one or two students, depending on the number of participants. The presentations shall have a duration of about 20 minutes and may (but need not) be supported by slides. Following the students' presentations, Mr Wollmann will discuss the case and its EU Law implications with the class. The cases will be allocated to the students following the preparatory meeting, if possible on a voluntary basis.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Mr Wollmann will grade the performance of the students in their presentations. In addition, students who actively participate in the discussion of other cases in the class will receive a plus, thus improving their final grade.
