40% - Final PaperPlease note that TURNITIN will be used in order to test all written coursework (e.g. seminar papers) for possible plagiarism.Attendance is absolutely mandatory during the entire first session of the course! If students miss the first session without contacting the lecturer in writing (at the very latest until 24 hours before the present class' first session), giving a relevant reason/proof (e.g. illness=doctor's certificate) for their absence, they will be deregistered from the course and their place is automatically awarded to the next in line on the waiting list. After that, students may miss a total of 10% of classes (that accounts for 2.5 hours) without providing a reason. Any further absence has to be documented with a doctor's notice.

- Admission to the Master's program
- Successful completion of the course "Experimental Methods I"This course continues and extends the concept covered in Experimental Methods I. Students will create their own experiment. In order to that, we briefly discuss a software tool (ztree) and basic statistical methods. Students will present their research ideas, develop a research plan and conduct their experiment. Then they will present the (preliminary) findings. This course is highly interactive and built around the idea of a laboratory setup as is typical for social sciences. The setup necessitates certain software and IT equipment. To provide every student the same opportunity to successfully participate in the course, it is usually held in one of the PC-labs at the Oskar-Morgenstern Platz 1. Since the current situation seems not to allow this setting, but we still want to maintain a high quality and interactive class, this semester, the class will be held online using MS Teams or Zoom. In this spirit, students are required to ensure stable Internet connection and be able to join using their web cameras as well! Hence, not only an audio connection, also a video connection is required! Please be aware that student papers will be checked for plagiarism with the software TURNITIN. Students who plagiarize will fail this course. Please refer to www.strategy.univie.ac.at for general information on our courses.
