Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Ziel des Seminars ist die Befähigung der Teilnehmenden zur Abfassung einer wissenschaftlichen Arbeit sowohl in inhaltlicher Hinsicht (Kompetenzausweis zum Thema eServices), wie auch in formaler Hinsicht (Literaturrecherche und -evaluation, Auswahl geeigneter Quellen, Konzeption, Umsetzung, Zitationen, Layout etc.). Erwartet wird die Aufarbeitung eines eService-Themas unter Einsatz wissenschaftlicher Arbeitsmethoden und Ausarbeitung einer Seminararbeit als Einzelarbeit. Es werden geeignete Recherche- und Evaluationsstrategien von Literaturquellen zum Themenfeld "eServices" im Rahmen eines Tutoriums vermittelt. Das Themenspektrum umfaßt Fragestellungen aus eSevices im weiteren Sinne, nämlich den Teilbereichen electronic business, electronic commerce, eLogistics, creative industries, service science, eMarketing, und collaboration.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Seminararbeit (die abgegebenen Arbeiten werden einer Plagiatsprüfung mittels Turnitin unterzogen. Die Zustimmung zur Plagiatsprüfung ist Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an der Lehrveranstaltung).

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Voraussetzung zur positiven Absolvierung dieser Lehrveranstaltung: positiv bewertete Seminararbeit (Erarbeitung, Aufbereitung und Wiedergabe einer klar abgegrenzten eService-Thematik). Die Verwendung von KI-Tools (z.B. ChatGPT) ist nicht erlaubt. Zur Sicherung der guten wissenschaftlichen Praxis und als Plausibilitätsüberprüfung kann die Lehrveranstaltungsleitung die Präsentation und Verteidigung der abgegebenen schriftlichen Arbeit zum Zweck der Plausibilitätsprüfung einfordern. Präsentation und Verteidigung sind erfolgreich zu absolvieren.

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course aims at enabling participants to develop the skills necessary to write a scientific paper in the field of Analytics for eServices and Operations. This includes gaining expertise about current topics as well as the ability to conduct required steps such as a literature review, choosing appropriate structure and layout, and citing scientific references correctly. In particular, this seminar will focus on “Recent challenges and advances of E-Fulfillment”. We will discuss what e-fulfillment is from the perspectives of demand and supply chain management. Basic models and recent approaches to e-fulfillment will be discussed using recent research articles. You will work in groups of 2-3 students on a seminar topic in e-fulfillment. You will also have to present and discuss your work.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Outline presentation (10%, e.g. with PowerPoint, Zwischenpräsentation)
Peer review and moderation of another group’s presentation (10%, peer review form, and moderation)
Final presentation and discussion of topic (40%, e.g. with PowerPoint, Endpräsentation)
Term paper (40%, Seminararbeit)

1) Submitted term papers will be checked for plagiarism with the program Turnitin. The agreement with this procedure is a requirement for the participation in this class.
2) The use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) for the production of texts is only allowed, if this is expressly requested by the course instructor (e.g. for specific assignments).
3) To ensure good scientific practice, the course instructor may request a "grade-relevant talk" (plausibility check) regarding the submitted written work. This interview has to be completed successfully.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Attendance is mandatory for all on-site meetings and group meeting for peer reviews.

For a positive grade, students have to achieve at least 50 percent (overall score) and individually pass the term paper.
Grading key:
4: 50% to <63%
3: 63% to <76%
2: 76% to <88%
1: 88% to 100%
