Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The seminar gives an overview of the theoretical approaches of the market entry modes of the multinational firm. The theoretical foundation and the empirical applications of the following market entry modes are discussed: Direct and indirect export, licensing, strategic alliances (non-equity and equity arrangements), franchising, brownfield investments, greenfield investments and mergers & acquisitions, market entry of SMEs and start-ups, sequential market entry strategies as well as market exit strategies.

(1) to summarize and criticize the literature and

Seminar paper 60 %
Seminar Presentation 20%
Participation in Public Lectures
and Class participation 20 %
