Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The content of the course is arranged according to the accompanying lecture class. Additional texts are read for each session of the course and are going to be critically reflected, discussed and evaluated in class.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Students are asked to fulfil written and oral exercises in the course of the guided reading.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

The course will give basic knowledge and orientation about questions, theories and the interdisciplinary context of Global History

The course will provide students with a basic knowledge in the production of academic texts.

Participants of the course are trained in their:
writing skills
oral presentation skills
oral feedback skills

Prüfungsstoff

The course is a classroom course with elements of blended learning. Students are expected to participate actively in classroom discussions, to read all the provided texts and to fulfil written and oral exercises.
