Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course is intended ONLY for students (diploma program and teacher education program) who have already passed the 101 Language Analysis lecture course. The input of this course is further discussed and practised in the smaller practical classes. Assessment: regular attendance & class participation, two assignments, final test.

Your aims will be as follows: You will be able to identify and name the individual parts of syntactic structures (using standard terminology), talk informedly about key grammatical categories and explain their use in a given context , recognise and rectify common errors and make independent and judicious use of reference books.

There is a common handout for both lecture course and practical classes, so you may already have obtained it when attending the lecture course 101. Otherwise pick it up from CopyStudio, Schwarzspanierstr. 10, in the first week of the semester.
