Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
In this context, students will develop:1. An understanding of the development of the fetish in European intellectual and cultural history;2. A grasp of the role of fetishism in discourses of psychoanalysis and Marxism and why fetishism is central in various poststructuralist theories.3. An ability to practically apply aspects of fetishism in various fields of cultural studiesExamples are provided from Victorian Decadence to contemporary pop-culture.
