Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Die Vorlesung nimmt vor, Werke moderner ungarischer Erzähler sowohl im Zusammenhang der jeweiligen Lebenswerke und der heimischen Gattungsgeschichte, als auch im europäischen Kontext der Moderne zu interpretieren. Es werden vor allem Romane und Erzählungen folgender Autoren berücksichtigt: Margit Kaffka, Geza Csath, Gyula Krudy, Zsigmond Moricz, Dezsö Kosztolanyi, Sandor Marai, Antal Szerb, Milan Füst, Tibor Dery, Imre Kertesz und Peter Nadas.
