Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The seminar will deal with the establishment, the meaning, and the problems of development as a human right.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Written seminar paper on individual topic (15-20 pages, including footnotes and bibliography), participation in discussions

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Students will gain profound knowledge about the emergence, the contents and the ongoing debate about development as a human right; furthermore, students will learn to discuss the concept of development as a human right, problems of the concept and of implementation in a structured way.
