Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Objectives: The students deepen their knowledge of grammatical structures of the Hausa and expand their vocabulary. In the foreground is the acquisition of basic knowledge about grammatical structures of Hausa, whereby the students acquire the ability to build vocabularies and understand sentences and how to use them in differentiated expressions and apply them themselves.
Contents: This advanced course follows the basic courses 'Hausa: Grammar 1, 2 and 3'. On the one hand, specific grammatical questions will be in the foreground; on the other hand, advanced grammar structures will be based on different texts. The main goal is to analyze the structures of the advance sentence. It is also about deepening the understanding and knowledge of expressions in Hausa and expanding the socio-cultural and historical background knowledge that is necessary for a comprehensive understanding of Hausa society and language.
