Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
1- The focus of orthoepical training this semester is requiring the students: to articulate clear standard speeches based on the mastering of correct pronunciation of Pinyin through comprehensive course and phonetic lab course; students are able to transmit information correctly and make themselves understood; the tones are basically correct regardless of speed and the articulation of sentences.2- Offer training on communication skills through the correct usages of lexicons and word orders, particularly in self-introduction, daily communication and simple exchange of information.3- Offer training on listening and imitating for identifying articulations. Oral communication is composed of speaking and listening. Therefore, conversation exercises also include listening exercises.4- Focus on correct pronunciation rather than speed. Actual communication is of a high speed and fluent flow. Yet for learners with Western languages as the mother tongue, high speed is not advocated, which means the learners shall articulate slowly but clearly, trying to articulate every character correctly. This is the basis for the oral training for next semester.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

18-20= Sehr Gut/1, 15-17= Gut /2, 12-14= Befriedigend /3, 10-11= Genügend /4, 0-9= Nicht Genügend

1- Offer further orthoepic training. The phonetic feature of Chinese language basically is one syllable for one character. Many characters are polyphonetic. Various monosyllables and the four tones constitute myriads of phonetic transmissions through which people are able to communicate with each other. This is a problem for learners with Western languages as the mother tongue. Therefore, the focus of orthoepic training this semester is requiring the students: to articulate clear standard speeches based on the mastering of correct pronunciation of Pinyin through comprehensive course and phonetic lab course; students are able to transmit information correctly and make themselves be understood; the tones are basically correct regardless of speed and the articulation of sentences.
2- Offer training on listening and imitating for identifying articulations. Oral communication is composed of listening and speaking. Therefore, conversation exercises also include listening exercises: Bianyin Biandiao in textbook, dictation even imitate one Chinese movie’s section.
3- Offer training on communication skills through the correct usages of lexicons, word orders even logic. The foundation is self-introduction, daily communication and simple exchange of information. On this basis the training on presentation skills on the certain topic through the reasonable logic will be increased. For example the topic “Environmental Protection”: the importance of environmental protection and the methods of environmental protection could be discoursed.
4- Focus on correct pronunciation rather than speed. Actual communication is of a high speed and fluent flow. Yet for learners with Western languages as the mother tongue, high speed is not advocated, which means the learners shall articulate slowly but clearly, trying to articulate every character correctly. This is the basis for the oral training for next semester.
