Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The general aim of the course is to provide information about basic concepts and methods of empirical research in psycholinguistics through some of the most important topics in the field. Students are expected to present research papers in the first part of the semester and present their own experimental plan based on the selected scientific readings in the second part of the semester, which they have to submit as a BA thesis. In the first part of the semester students will present empirical papers, then we will continue with a small-group discussion phase and end with a general discussion of the presented papers. In the second part of the semester students will learn about the scientific method and scientific writing through simple exercises. The course will end with students presenting their own experimental idea for the whole group. The course will require intensive preparation and active participation from the students in each block. Lack of preparation and participation in the discussions will lead to lower grades.
