In preparation for the sessions of the course, assignments and readings should be completed. A small qualitative research project will be conducted throughout the course. The final project report is a requirement. Short presentations on the research process will be made on several courses.

• Finding a relevant research topic and designing a research outline for the application of the learned methods. (10%)

In this course, commonly qualitative research methods in education and social sciences will be covered and put into practice by small research projects carried out in groups of students. Hence students will both experience a research design with the help and guidance of the course director and try out qualitative research tools within the specified small projects.Methods: Lectures (introduction of the theories and concepts by the course director), discussions, written and oral reflections on the readings, group work assignments, short presentations.
