Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This will be an introductory course on development (social and individual) and its relation to education.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
There will be continuous evaluation. Students will form a portfolio and a final exam can be included.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
The purpose of this course is to equip students to prepare to be future teachers by providing a theoretical background about the social and individual development.
Students will be able to describe theoretical education and development as a socialization process from the perspective of the individual and through examples (eg, adolescence, adolescence, aging).
Students will be able to implement characteristics of a reflective teacher utilizing higher levels of critical thinking (i.e., application, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis) in the written and oral assignments.
Student will be able to relate the theories of growth, development, and learning to current teaching practice by completing all fieldwork observations and activities.

Prüfungsstoff
This will be an interactive course that depends more on classroom discussion and student participation in classroom activities. We will create an open communicative classroom atmosphere where we can freely and actively share our thoughts and ideas. There will be interactive activities as well as lecturing.
