Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Students acquire knowledge of the current state of (empirical) psychotherapy and counseling research as well as competencies for the exemplary application of methods of process, concept, outcome and case research, conceptual, outcome and case research.

This seminar will focus on the definition of a clinical approach of research psychoanalytically orientated in the field of education and training. We will work on the precision of each of the terms that define this approach, while considering the epistemological question of how to take into account the unconscious phenomena. We will also review different types of methodologies that allow for the consideration of unconscious phenomena while addressing ethical issues. We will also discuss current research in the field of psychoanalysis in education and training.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

A reading note on an article presenting a clinical research oriented by psychoanalysis. Individual work on an article chosen by each Student, with agreement of the teacher.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Attendance at the first unit is a prerequisite for participation in the course. One unexcused absence for two units = 2 x 1,5h is allowed.
Further absences are allowed with justification and require a compensatory effort agreed upon with the course instructor.
The partial achievements are graded separately with 1 to 5. All partial achievements must be positive.
The individual work on the article is 60 % of the assessment, the results of the reading note are 30 %, continuous participation and collaboration are 10%.

Prüfungsstoff

The reading sheet contains between 10 and 15 pages. Instructions for completing the reading sheet will be presented during this seminar
