Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Das Proseminar "Mathematische Populationsgenetik" begleitet die gleichnamige Vorlesung und dient der Wiederholung und der Vertiefung dortiger Themen. Bei Bedarf wird das Proseminar in Englischer Sprache gehalten.

(The aim of the Proseminar "Mathematische Populationsgenetik" is to repeat and to practise the topics introduced in the correspondent lecture. If desired, this Proseminar can be held in English. )

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Durch Mitarbeit: TeilnehmerInnen sollen die angekündigten Beispiele vorbereiten und an der Tafel präsentieren.

(Continuous assessment: Participants are expected to prepare the announced problems and to present them at the blackboard during the course.)

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Prüfungsstoff

Neben Beispielen die mit Papier und Stift bearbeitet werden können, sollten auch einige Beispiele mit Hilfe des Computers (z.B. mit dem Programm Mathematica) gelöst werden. Je nach Wissensstand der StudentInnen wird dies angepasst bzw. gibt es eine kleine Einführung als Hilfe.

(Beside solving the problems with pen and paper, some problems should be solved using e.g. Mathematica. This will depend on the knowledge of the participants. If desired, a short introduction to Mathematica can be prepared.)
