Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The course will cover the topics of basic demographic concepts and methods. Demographic Status and Trends of Europe will be presented, stressing the specifics of urban demographic regimes.

This course has three main objectives:
Providing an overview of demographic concepts and the demographic trends in Europe.
Highlighting the political and socio-economic consequences of these trends.
Strengthening the methodical ability of the students to calculate and interpret demographic indicators correctly.
