Regular Attendance and Active Participation; Literature Readings and Discussion; Presentations; Essays; Reports on Own Research; Feedback to ColleaguesTeaching is conducted in presence and includes also individual tasks for home learning. The course teaching is supported by the Moodle Online-Platform. The Instructor may announce modifications of the criteria so as to adjust to Distance-Learning.

Literatur
Seminal texts by leading contemporary authors will be selected so as to reflect a diverse spectrum of concepts, methods and epistemological approaches.
The literature is in English language, and this is the main language of the course. Therefore, all participants require a minimum level of working skills in English language.
The participants can deliver written tasks in German or English, upon prior agreement with instructor.
The course instructor may offer to guide the discussion or parts of its - in German language (though still based on the English texts), depending on individual need and agreement of all participants.

Based on the work in this course, there is the optional opportunity to develop the papers for a joint proposal to a conference panel at the ESA European Sociology Association (to be held 31 Aug-3 Sep 2021 in Barcelona).
