Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This seminar offers students working on their PhD thesis and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their projects related to the field of Biology Teaching and Learning (Science Education).
Topics may include: Biology Communication (e.g. Knowledge Transfer/Third Mission, Citizen Science), Environmental and Climate Education, Health and Sexual Education, Informal Learning in Biology (e. g. Teaching and Learning Biology in Zoos, Botanical Gardens, Museums, National Parks, Science Centers) etc.
The goal is to conceptually and methodologically analyse, and improve, ongoing studies (from the proposal phase to the analysis and writing). External researchers as guest lecturers are tentatively scheduled. Class will start on October 5th 2022.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Assessment: Presence is obligatory; oral presentation, contribution to discussions.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria: Grading will be based on presentation (80%) and contributions to discussions (20%).
