Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

In this course you will be introduced to the scientific work of education in the frame of the DSE. In doing so, you will also be guided in the preparation of the concept paper of your doctoral thesis as well as in the preparation of the presentation of your concept paper in the context of the public presentation to the faculty (FöP). Thus, the course is aimed at doctoral students who are in the first phase of their doctoral thesis and would like to prepare for the FöP. Further details on the course organization will be announced via Moodle.

Methods: Discussion, group work, presentations, peer-reviews.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

• Presentation of concept: 15 credits
• Written feedbacks: 30 credits
• Written concept: 40 credits (the announced submission date is binding)
• Participation in discussion and other tasks: 15 credits. Other participation will be counted positively into the final assessment.

60 credits and the submission of the concept are needed to pass the course.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

• Mandatory attendance. Students may miss class twice in a term (without valid excuse).
• It is mandatory to upload the written assignments (concepts and peer-reviews).
• Detailed feedback on at least two other concepts is mandatory.

Assessment standard:
• Presentation of concept: 15 credits
• Written feedbacks: 30 credits
• Written concept: 40 credits (the announced submission date is binding)
• Participation in discussion and other tasks: 15 credits. Other participation will be counted positively into the final assessment.

60 credits and the submission of the concept are needed to pass the course.

2 (good) 89-81 credits
3 (satisfactory) 80-71 credits
4 (sufficient) 70-60 credits
5 (not sufficient) 59-0 credits
