Aims, contents and method of the course

Clinical Rounds offer the students the opportunity of acquiring basic knowledge of ethical and legal Problems in the context of difficult situations of medical decision making and health care. Invited specialist are met in their clinical context or invited to the seminar and provide their insight.

Assessment and permitted materials

discussion, written paper of 10-15 pages. If a group writes a joint paper, a longer paper is required (9 pages / person excluding front page, table of content and bibliography).
While the University is closed due to the Corona Virus emergency measures, there will no presentations made and excursions held. Instead, students are asked to do some reading and do written tasks and to upload them on the Moodle platform. However, students should do more reading in the fields they chose initially for their presentations and serve as "experts" in online discussions. Moodle messages will inform about the modality of the online-phases of the seminar. For texts and tasks, please consult the Moodle platform.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Active participation (reading, discussion in chat or audio) (20%), tasks on moodle (30%) and essay on one of the the topics of the seminar (50%)
