Aims, contents and method of the course

Lectures on Fundamental Questions of Moral Theology are usually divided in "objective" and "subjective" fundaments. The cycle of lectures in Moral Theology starts with a presentation of the "objective" fundaments. The lecture explains central notions and methods of Theological ethics and explains the sources of moral knowledge. A special emphasis will be layed on systematic approaches of Theological Ethics which are being used for defending ethical positions in ongoing ethical discussions in church and society.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral Examination.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of central ethical notions and approaches in theological ethics. Ability to analyse ethical discussions with respect to the kind of ethical approach which is being applied.
