Assessment and permitted materials
The overall performance consists of oral (presentation) and written partial performances (bibliography, excerpt, written pro-seminar paper) on a topic chosen or assigned from a list at the beginning of the course and oral participation during the course.By registering for the course, students agree to a possible software-supported plagiarism check of their written work.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The minimum requirement is a positive overall assessment, which results from the grades of the individual oral and written partial performances. Each partial performance must be positive in order to achieve a positive overall assessment.
The grading system is 1-5 in descending order (1=very good; 5=insufficient).The grading is broken down as follows:
100-87% = 1
86-75% = 2
74-63% = 3
62-51% = 4
<50% = 5
Grade 5 will be given to those who score less than 50%.An attendance requirement of 80% applies to the course. If attendance is below this, a major assessment criterion is not met and therefore the PS cannot be credited.

Examination topics
The tasks for the individual partial performances are the basis for the score: bibliography, excerpt, proseminar paper and presentation of a theological topic.

After completing the course, students are able to compile a bibliography on a specific topic with the help of a comprehensive literature search, to apply the faculty's internal guidelines for scientific work, to name methods of theological research and to implement them in writing a proseminar paper.
