The lecture deals with selected women from the history of Christianity from antiquity to the time of the Reformation and places their work (e.g. as apostolate, as martyr, as prophetess, as pilgrim, as ascetic, as saint, as empress, as visionary, as reformer) in the context of their time.
The aim is, apart from content-related biographical knowledge, to develop an awareness of the historical-cultural-historical conditions for the life and work of the women of the respective epochs.
The lecture will be conducted as a lecture with reading and discussion.
Accompanying the lecture, each student will develop a source-based critical portrait of another personality of his/her own choice and introduce it through a poster presentation.
