Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar, we will discuss public law issues related to chatbots. For example, Fred, a chatbot of the Federal Ministry of Finance that provides advice on various tax issues, or other online chatbots that offer psychological counseling. These chatbots raise numerous legal questions. Is the use of these chatbots regulated? If not, should it be regulated? If so, how? But also individual legal questions, such as how to legally deal with false infor-mation? Or the question of how legal requirements can be implemented technically? The students learn to do legal research, to present legal content and to write seminar papers in the field of public law.
The seminar is structured in a classical way. Students choose a topic, present it and write a seminar paper.
