Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment is based on a short written paper and the oral presentation of the paper, each worth 40% of the final grade, as well as on class participation, worth 20% of the final grade.
The paper, presentation and class participation can be done in German or English.
Regular course attendance as well as the attainment of at least 51% of the assessment criteria are necessary for a successful completion of the course.
Registered students who do not attend the first course unit without specification of an important reason will be automatically deregistered from the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Prerequisite for the participation in the Konversatorium is the successful completion of the course "030714 KU Basic features of legal science".
At the end of this course participants should be able to analyse legal questions and case studies from an international law perspective. Active class participation is essential.

Examination topics
Legal questions and case studies will be elaborated by students through the composition of a short written paper, an oral presentation as well as the active participation in discussions.
