Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The Course deals with the both the legal and the political implications of the Lisbon Treaty for European Security & Defence and Geopolitics. Besides analysing the Treaty concerning the Security Dimension the Geopolitical background of these new legal perspectives should be both taken into consideration and discussion.
Assessment and permitted materials
The grading will be based on active topic team participation, on campus discussion and the final eXam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The Course shall not only provide the participants with basic information on the Security & Defence aspects of Lisbon Treaty, but also develop a critical reflection potential concerning the meaning of this legal framework - its spirit and its challenges from a geopolitical point of view.
Examination topics
The Course is using the eLearning Platform FRONTER (in the blended learning mode) in order to provide both material and infrastructure for groupwork and communication. The Course consists of Topic Team presentations, discussions and a final eXam, where the key aspects of the course outcomings will be reconsidered.
