Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the Environmental (Protection) Law course is to present various material laws of Austrian administrative law together with the students. This presentation takes place through presentations by the students on topics of their own choice or assigned topics (e.g. building regulations of the federal states, BVergG 2018, BVG sustainability, CSRD, EAG, EEffG, EZG, KSG, NEHG, UVP-G). The focus of the presentation should be on recognizing and discussing the environmental protection measures as well as their dirigiste value and legal implementation

Assessment and permitted materials

The students must - alone or in a team - present a specific material law as part of a presentation and also prepare a short written paper. In addition, they are required to participate in the discussion following the presentation.
