Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The Seminar "EU Asylum- and Migration Law I: The European Dimension" deals with key questions of the European Migration Law which are currently under discussion. In addition to that, legal historic questions shall be addressed; in the wrap-up discussion perspectives and legal policy issues shall be raised and discussed.

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on participation in the discussion (about the own presentation and in general) within the seminar (15%) and the seminar paper (85%).
The requirements for the seminar paper are in line with the common practice at the Faculty of Law. Details and suggestions for your research work shall be provided via MOODLE and in the kickoff class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The assessment is based on participation in the discussion (about the own presentation and in general) within the seminar (15%) and the seminar paper (85%).

Registered students shall receive an overview of the requirements in detail in the kick-off class and via MOODLE.

For reasons of collegiality and transparency within a group
performance records are also always - due to the strong development of the
of the current subject matter - weighted "comparatively" and
evaluated. This applies all the more to the novel method of
"home-learning".

Therefore, the grades for all courses will be registered after the
