Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar deals with various social movements and their influence on the legal system, be it through lobbying, by initiating referenda or by addressing the courts. Social movements may have emancipatory goals, such as the feminist or LGBTIQ+ movement, but they can also be reactionary, as the movement to abolish the fundamental right to abortion in the United States has shown.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentation; participation at discussion.
