Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of this course is to provide participants in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court of previous semesters with instructions on how to turn the written memorials they have prepared into diploma seminar papers.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment is based on the written submissions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Completion of the adapted version of the Moot Court memorial.

Examination topics

The topics include general public international law with a focus on the law of treaties, the sources of international law, and state responsibility. Furthermore, international space law as contained in the five United Nations treaties on outer space, with a varying focus, depending on the respective Moot Court problem.

Reading list

Will be announced during the course and on the basis of the respective Moot Court problem.
