By the end of this course students will be able to give an overview of the most important Latin terms in legal studies. They will be capable of assigning technical terminology to thematic areas (Roman law: law of property, law of obligations, civil law, civil procedure, criminal law, international law and public law), and they will be able to define, contextualise and translate the Latin terms (Latin > German and German > Latin). The focus will lay in the feld of Roman Law.
