Aims, contents and method of the course

The main aim of the course is to provide the students with the basic elements of selected branches of law in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary. The course focuses on the following issues:
a) The Legal Perspective and the Quality of Public Administration in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary
b) Administrative Delicts/Wrongs in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary
c) The Law of Public Media in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary
d) Administrative Procedures in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary
e) Consumer Protection in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary
The course compares the national legal frameworks governing the issues mentioned above and provides their critical analysis. Students will be required to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by submitting a paper on a topic provided by the lecturer. In addition to that, students will also be required to pass a multiple choice test.
