Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The "Seminar EU Energy Law and Policy" deals with questions of European and international Energy Law and Policy which are currently under discussion. Special emphasis shall be placed on renewable nergy sources, the external dimension of the Union's energy supply, the regulation of renewable energy sources and legal questions of energy markets in the EU.In the wrap-up discussion perspectives and legal policy issues shall be raised and discussed.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment is based on the oral presentation (= 60%), participation in the discussion (about the own presentation and in general) within the seminar (= 20%) and the written presentation (= 20%).
Requirements for the seminar paper are in line with the common practice at the Faculty of Law. Details and suggestions for your research work shall be provided via MOODLE and in the kickoff class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Written Seminar-Presentation (20%), Oral presentation (60%) and participation in discussion ensuing one's own presentation (20%).
Examination topics
Written presentation, oral presentation and participation in class discussion. Students may participate in the seminar in English only, if they so wish.
