Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar is interdisciplinary and is organized in different groups with focal points.
* Group of doctoral students (focus!): The seminar serves to present and discuss current quality research on legal informatics, especially dissertations/Ph.D.
* Legal Informatics Group
Generative AI - using ChatGPT as an example: Potential for advanced search technologies or automated text production
Data Governance & Privacy: (VO or draft VO) Data Act, Data Governance Act, Digital Services Act, REGULATION "Prevention and Combating the Sexual Abuse of Children" etc.
* European Law/International Law Group: Internet Governance, ICANN; Cybercrime and cyberwar, cybersecurity

Talk, written seminar paper, active participation

Introduction to scientific work and legal craft

Examination topics

Assisted and independent research & analysis, presentation,discussion

Scientific work in legal informatics. In addition, the choice of international and European law issues is possible.

Reading list

Introductory literature will be provided, otherwise individual research is required.
