Aims, contents and method of the course

Main elements of international law (secondary and primary law), sources of international law, including the law of treaties in combination with relevant Austrian constitutional provisions, state succession, fundamental rights and duties of States, and State responsibility.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This course is only available to students of the final third of their degree, who have already studied international law.

Examination topics

Elaboration of problems of international law through the discussion of cases. The conditions for a positive certificate will be agreed upon with the participants.
