Aims, contents and method of the course

This course ist held in German! It deals with the phenomena Exploitation and trafficking in human beings, especially in Austria. Causes, why people might get exploited, prevention measures und support of victims by NGOs will be picked out as central themes, but also difficulties concerning criminal prosecution.

Assessment and permitted materials

The grading is based on the scores achieved by the given summery of a specified topic during the course (80%) and by participation in the discussion both durig the course and on the moodle-platform. (20%) The attendance of the course is compulsory! (at least 75%)

If you do it well and deliver yout handout in time (wich means one week in advance), faultless and including correct citation, you get 40 points. Lack of citation (- 3 points), delayed delivery of the handout (-5) an faults (-1 to -3 points) within the Handout lead to loss of points. For active participation in diskussion both during the course and on the moodle-Platform you may get up to 10 points in addition. If you catch 25 points, you pass with an "Genügend", from 37 to 42 points a "Befriedigend", from 43 to 46 a "Gut" an from 47 points a "Sehr Gut".

Examination topics

You will have to give a small lecture on one of the topics mentioned above, based on material provided by K. Beclin.
