Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course aims to aid students as they are working on their MA thesis by giving them a platform to present their thesis projects. Peer feedback and feedback from the professors, as well as insights into other students' theses will enable them to improve their own work.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students are required to attend all sessions.During the Konversatorium you will present your thesis and receive feedback on it. In addition, you will attend the presentations of your peers and provide feedback to them.Guidelines for your presentation:
Length: 15 minutes for the presentation of your slides + 10 minutes Q&A
On the first slide: Present a very brief overview of the topic, and what you have already done
On the last slide: Give an overview of what is still to be done

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
You need to achieve a total of at least 50% of all points in order to pass the class.Your final grade is based on:
a) A formal presentation of your thesis during the Konversatorium which will be followed by a brief Q/A session (45%)
b) Participation during the sessions (35%)
c) The quality of your presentation slides which you will need to submit a week before your presentation date (20%)Please note that in order to attend the Konversatorium the following conditions need to be fulfilled:
a) You must have officially registered your MA thesis with the SSC when registering for this course!.
b) If your thesis is not supervised by either Prof. Keck or Prof. Reitzig you need to obtain the prior commitment of your supervisor for him/her to personally attend the session of the Konversatorium during which you present your thesis.
