Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives: Students obtain an overview of applications, basic concepts, and fields of economics

Contents: Definition of economics, basic topics such as trade, supply and demand, markets, social interaction, measurement of economic activities, growth, business cycles.
Method: The subject matter is explained to the students in a lecture. Lectures will be streamed, recorded. They are available to registered students on the moodle platform.

Assessment and permitted materials

Multiple choice exam
Materials permitted: none
Exam dates: One date each in the middle of the semester (after the last lecture) and at the end of the semester.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a passing grade, at least half of all questions must be answered correctly.
