Assessment and permitted materials
The evaluation consists of four components: Midterm exam (40%), final exam (49%) and in-class quizzes (11%).
Examination topics
The lecture comprises 4 hours per week covering both theory and exercises. There will be an additional tutorial, where more practical exercises are discussed.

By the end of the course, students are expected to have acquired a basic understanding of what factors drive economic growth, what causes business cycle fluctuations, how the financial sector operates, and how nominal and real exchange rates are determined in global capital markets.
