Aims, contents and method of the course

The goal of this course is to provide an introduction into selected topics from production, logistics and supply chain management. These include
- fundamentals of supply chain management
- demand forecasting
- material requirements planning
- inventory management
- shop floor scheduling
- packing and loading

Assessment and permitted materials

IMPORTANT INFORMATION (April 1): All pre-scheduled examination dates are suspended, pending further instructions by the study administration. From a current point of view, the exam will MOST LIKELY take place on June 15, but neither the mode of examination nor the date itself can be reasonably predicted at the moment.

The grading will be based on a single written exam. A total of 100% can be obtained in this exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

At least 50% have to be obtained for a positive grade. The other grades are distributed as follows:
4: 50% to <63%
3: 63% to <75%
2: 75% to <87%
1: 87% to 100%

Examination topics

The exam will cover the information provided on the slides that are available via the e-learning platform Moodle.
