Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The objective of this course is to undertake a rigorous study of the theory of corporate finance. Corporate finance is the area of finance that deals with the financing and investment decisions of corporations. Topics covered include financing decisions with various sources of agency problems such as moral hazard, asymmetric information, and limited observability, as well as issues in corporate governance such as executive compensation, speculative monitoring, and investor activism.For more information, please refer to the course syllabus at https://drive.google.com/file/d/18n86dx_WVlqLRP1nSeEPhj5y6BFNeRxp/view?usp=sharing
Assessment and permitted materials
Grades for this course will be based on a midterm exam (30%), a final exam (50%), and class participation (20%). The midterm exam will be given in class on April 7, the final exam on May 5.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To pass the course, you need to achieve an aggregate score of at least 48%.
