Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The final grade consists of 3 parts of the language activities to be tested:
1. Midterm Test (Grammar B2, Listening & Comprehension, Reading, Business Vocabulary) - 30%.
2. Final Exam (written speech production to the topics of the course & translation D-R) - 40%.
3. Oral presentation to an independently selected topic and current oral contributions during the term - 30%.ATTENDANCE:
Students missing more than 4 times will be checked out of the course (in case of illness proved thru a medical note), otherwise they will be evaluated negatively.
Students who cut the first lesson without an excuse, will be checked out of the course.

- Improvement of general language skills at the level B1+ up to B2 (acc.to CEFR) thru sufficient oral & written communication activities so that the students could be able to comprehend, comment & give forward their own arguments to selected business topics & economical reports with the subject-specific vocabulary.
- Language skills development in all forms of speech activities, including businesss correspondence & inter-cultural awareness.
Key issues:
Company story, structure & activities, SWOT-analysis, sales strategies, value & price, advertising, price deviation, bargain arrangement, taxes, logistics, order & confirmation, complaints, forms/types of work and job contracts, crisis, sanctions, ratings & forecast reflection.
Teaching methods:
- Communicative, inter-active, analytical. The students are supposed to cooperate with the peers, submit their group & individual work in due time.
Advanced students with Russian at the level of native or second native language might be offered upgraded assignments.
