Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This semester's SOLV (Self-Organised Course) gives an overview of price development, price differentiation, models of the shadow market, as well as possible government measures and effects on society. Reference is made to the drug market, the prostitution market and other illegal markets. Historical and current examples as well as comparisons between countries will play a central role.

The SOLV (self-organised course) is a series of courses organised by the VWL-Basisgrupp Roter Börsenkrach (www.roterboersenkrach.at). The aim is to convey content that students feel is missing or too short in the VWL curriculum. Therefore, the choice of topics, planning and implementation of the course are the responsibility of interested students. If you would like to help organise one of the next SOLVs, please contact the organisation team (solv@roterboersenkrach.at).

Please note that this class will be held in German and that only part of the reading materials are available in English. All assessments are to be handed in and/or held in German Language. Sufficient knowledge of German is thus indispensable.
