Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The preparatory course is assessed by means of:
• Midterm Test (25%)
• Final Test (45%)
• Oral Exam (30%)
In order to pass the course, students must reach an overall percentage score (PS) of more than 60%.
No dictionaries or other reference materials are allowed in the exam.

On completion of the course, students will be able to
• read and understand English texts on an intermediate level;
• understand and apply business English vocabulary and terminology on an intermediate level;
• participate in discussions.

Examination topics
This course will use the following methods: lectures, small-group work, discussions, vocabulary development and reinforcement of grammatical structures, listening comprehensions and role plays.
