The first session, presentation dates and the written exam are planned to be held on-site (HS), for which attendance is mandatory.
However, if you fall under one of the following categories:- those who belong to the risk group or live in a household with a person from the risk group,
- those who are infected / suspect they are infected / are under quarantine,
- those for whom the entry into Austria is not possible due to the COVID-related reasons,
then make sure you inform the course instructor about your situation in time (preferably 10 days ahead.) For these students an online alternative will be scheduled.If you participate in the on-site session, please remember that you should comply with the distance and hygiene rules, as well as the procedures for contact tracing.For the general information regarding the organization of studies in

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course deals with problems concerning the management of various dimensions and components of organizational structure and culture. An appropriate organizational design allows organizations to continually adapt to a changing global environment and to balance internal needs and external pressures to survive in the long run. A key element is therefore to understand how organizations can be designed and managed for a better performance. Accordingly, the course will aim to raise awareness of the intended as well as unintended consequences of organizational design decisions. The concepts involved focus on organizational structure (e.g. organizational design), organizational change, organizational effectiveness, strategy, culture and knowledge management.
Assessment and permitted materials
Active participation, short reports, case report, case presentation, exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
For successful completion of the course a student must achieve >50% of the total points.
Examination topics
The assessment load includes all topics discussed in class (see literature). More details will be given in class.
