Supply Chain Management (SCM) ist das effiziente Planen und Steuern von unterschiedlichen Unternehmungen und Parteien, die an der Produktion von (neuen) Produkten bzw. Dienstleistungen beteiligt sind. Dabei geht es um die Beschaffung von Rohmaterialen, Produktion von Halb- und Fertigfabrikaten und die Auslieferung an den Kunden. Die zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen den unterschiedlichen Unternehmungen sind sehr häufig Lagerbestände, d. h. ein zentrales Thema in Supply Chain Management ist das effiziente managen von diesen Lagerbeständen.
In diesem Kurs werden einführende Planungsprobleme und Lösungsmethoden vermittelt.
