Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this ‘Proseminar’, students will write and present an essay in the field of international economics. The first few classes serve as an introduction to the core elements of writing a scientific essay. Student will learn how to state a research question, review related studies and structure the essay. A reading list, handed out in the first session, offers different essay topics and is intended to guide students to important questions and literature in the field. Following the introduction and the choice of a topic, essay concepts will be presented in class, which allows to receive feedback from peers to further improve the essay. The aim of this seminar is to equip students with important writing and presentation skills which are useful for future assignments such as the Bachelor thesis.
