This is an asynchronous online course, therefore there are no sessions that take place on specific dates. All the necessary materials will be provided through the e-learning platform Moodle.


Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course aims at developing a fine-grained understanding of the key concepts, issues and practices of corporate governance in contemporary global business organizations.
The course will follow a lecture format characterized by interactive discussions on the various aspects of corporate governance. Student are expected to come prepared to class and will also give short talks about chosen or assigned topics.

Topics discussed in the course include org. theory, org. structure, org. design, org. effectiveness, external environment of organizations, interorganizational relations, governance mechanisms, ownerships patterns, role of the board of directors, role of top management, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, stakeholder analysis, and ethical decision making.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For successful completion of the course a student must achieve >50% of the total points.
