The course will follow a lecture format characterized by interactive discussions on the various aspects of corporate governance. Student are expected to come prepared to class and will also give short talks about chosen or assigned topics.Topics discussed in the course include org. theory, org. structure, org. design, org. effectiveness, external environment of organizations, interorganizational relations, governance mechanisms, ownerships patterns, role of the board of directors, role of top management, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, stakeholder analysis, and ethical decision making.
